Residency Program Structure
1. Entry Requirements
To qualify for the OOUTH Residency Program, applicants must:
- Hold an MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Have completed the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or possess an exemption certificate.
- Possess a current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Have passed the primary examination of the relevant postgraduate medical college (NPMCN or WACP/WACS).
2. Duration of Training
- The residency program spans between 4 to 6 years, depending on the specialty.
- The training is divided into Junior Residency (Part 1) and Senior Residency (Part 2) leading to fellowship certification.
